Hand Picked I Unfiltered I Unfined Winemakers: Dan & Sarah-Kate Dineen, Lake Wanaka New & 1-2 year old French Oak.
Generous and flavoursome, the wine offers dark cherry, raspberry, mixed spice and nutmeg characters on the nose, followed by a juicy palate that is rounded and beautifully weighted with silky texture. It shows plenty of attractive fruit flavours as well as subtle savoury complexity, making it immediately appealing. At its best: now to 2022.

Is it worth trying and enjoying unfined and unfiltered wines?
Yes, especially if you feel what you drink most of the time is short on flavour or character and you’re looking for something richer and more nuanced.
Unfined, unfiltered wines might be well worth tasting.Just keep in mind, there’s no evidence that these wines are better tasting or healthier. But if you get a sense of one or the other after drinking them, then all the better for you.
THE LAKES Central Otago, Pinot Gris 2015
Hand Picked I Unfined Winemakers: Dan & Sarah-Kate Dineen, Lake Wanaka
Skilled winemaking combines the separate components to retain bright, lively fruit freshness whilst giving the wine sumptuous complexity. This wine boasts an aromatic array of ripe pear, honeysuckle & quince all leading to a long rich palate with a touch of spice & a hint of nougat. 40% fermented in aged barrels to add complexity. The finest of Central Otago Pinot Gris.
